Abed Nashef has 15 years of experience as a business and corporate attorney providing legal counseling to local and foreign companies in a wide range of industries in cross-border transactions, joint ventures, M&As, financing, commercialization of technologies and other general corporate work. He provides clients with legal advice throughout their business/company’s lifecycle – from formation and structuring, through managing their day-to-day legal affairs. Among his clients are international corporations, emerging growth companies, investors, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations. 

Mr. Nashef has specific expertise in the areas of tech and venture capital financing and have lead many VC financing transactions (equity and debt) and formation of venture backed startups in Israel and abroad (especially in internet, mobile, digital health, insurtech, cyber, edutech and others). He is also experienced in negotiating complex commercial agreements, including, technology transfer, licensing, partnerships, distribution and franchise agreements.

Mr. Nashef was previously a partner at the international law firm of Pearl Cohen Zedek Latzer Baratz, and before that a Senior Associate in the international practice group of GKH law firm. In 2013, he was as Senior Legal Advisor for the UNCTAD, and earlier, an in-house counsel at a multi-disciplinary investment company which operates in countries across the MENA region. He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Essex (2002).

Mr. Nashef is active in several non-profit organizations in the areas of entrepreneurship and technology, including in a capacity of a board member, and has been mentoring several entrepreneurs and startups in the region in various forums. He also often lectures before various audiences on entrepreneurship, venture capital financing and the legal aspects of tech ventures.
